Persepolis

I really like Persepolis. I think the neat thing about it is just the fact that it is a graphic novel. It's nice to read a book in class that isn't just the typical book. I also think that it's nice how quick it is to read the novel. It requires a little more paying attention because not everything is just told to you; it is shown to you. Overall I just really like how the graphic novel works and everything.

Now for the story of Persepolis. I really like how it brings up a lot of different things that people just assume. I've learned a lot from it. It allows us all to see how life really is for Marjane. It's not like how a lot of Americans would probably guess. I think that graphic novels like Persepolis could really help people become more understanding towards others.

  1. I agree with you on how reading this in graphic novel helps us understand it better. My default image for people walking down on the streets doesn't incorporate the burkas and other clothing distinct to that region. The images help me improve my mental picture of what's going on.
